Carlyn Lowery has been my go to real estate agent for 11 years now. Originally she was recommended to me by my Independent Financial Advisor. I am a residential and investment property owner. Recently Carlyn led the sale of my ancient Baltimore investment property as a 1031 exchange. The sale went quickly and smoothly. During the process I was in Asia. Carlyn successfully kept me up to date with the process and made negotiation recommendations that saved me money.Once we closed on the sale I had 45 days to locate a new investment property and 120 days to close on the new place. There are a lot of financial factors to consider in a 1031 and the people Carlyn suggested I contact for assistance were efficient, competent and friendly. I used a lender, title company, appraiser, and 1031 lawyer that she recommended. We located a townhouse to purchase in Anne Arundel County and closed on the property in 43 days. During the process Carlyn advice saved me money on the purchase price, & closing costs. She also was a great agent for “me”, the seller agreed to do many upgrades to the new property that saved me time and money.All through these procedures Carlyn was encouraging and creative. We certainly had a few tiny obstacles to overcome; each obstacle was overcome. I’m pretty organized and had all my ducks in a row, I was able to close in about 30 days. The whole process from beginning to end couldn’t have gone any smoother.
